  12. Version 2.1 of the zoo archive is here and will shortly appear in
  13. alt.sources.  Due to improved compression it can create archives that
  14. cannot be extracted by previous versions of zoo.

  16. Here in this posting is "booz", a fairly simple and portable program to
  17. list, extract, and test zoo archives.  It will let you extract any
  18. archives created by zoo 2.1 should you happen to encounter them before
  19. you have the full zoo 2.1 running on your system.  This posting
  20. includes a small sample uuencoded zoo archive that you can use to make
  21. sure that your installed "booz" program is working correctly.
